Odell Beckham Jr. Appears to Smoke Blunt in Video; Sparks Controversy on Marijuana in Sports

https://nypost.com/2018/03/09/video-of-odell-beckham-jr-with-suspicious-looking-substances-surfaces-online/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HhxwdHiSQg

  1. Do you think the video is enough evidence for the NFL to launch an investigation into Beckham's potential substance abuse?  Why or why not?
  2. Do you think that Odell Beckham Jr.'s history as a player/person (incidents with frustration and questionable actions mainly on the field) may effect how this issue plays out?  Is there a potential bias against him?  Could this also be handled differently because of how great he is as a player?
  3. Do you think marijuana should be handled the same as other drugs in the NFL or sports in general (there is suspicion of there being cocaine in the video)?  Does where a player lives and conducts these activities change how the NFL or other leagues can interfere (has the state legalized its use whether medicinal or recreational)?
